“You hated me, didn’t you?” asks the audition woman.<\/p>\n
“No, you were good,” says Bowfinger. “You were very good.” The audition woman leaves, and Bowfinger’s smile evaporates. He drops the photos on the floor.<\/p>\n
“She was good,” says Slater.<\/p>\n
“She had the personality of a zip code in Kansas,” replies Bowfinger. “She was good, but she didn’t have IT.”<\/p>\n
“What do you mean, IT?” asks Slater.<\/p>\n
“IT is a special quality,” says Bowfinger. “No matter what is going on, you cannot take your eyes off that person. Every word they say, every gesture you’re interested in.”<\/p>\n
“Do I have IT?” asks Slater.<\/p>\n
“I’m sorry. I wasn’t listening. What?” asks Bowfinger.<\/p>\n

“Yes, you do,” replies Bowfinger.<\/p>\n
“I thought I did!” says Slater.<\/p>\n
