THIS WEEK’S HOSTS: Road House Minute
“Could you seat me next to Jerry Renfro?” Bowfinger asks the maitre d’. “Thank you.”
Bowfinger picks up his non-functioning cell phone. “Hey, Tony, how are you? Uh-huh. No. Send the deal back.” He’s seated next to Jerry Renfro, over a half-wall. “Uh-huh. Net, net?” says Bowfinger.
“If I’m gonna put $85 million into an avalanche movie,” says Renfro to his assistant, Ed. “I gotta know where the snow is.”
“Uh-huh,” says Bowfinger in his imaginary phone conversation.
“And, Ed, it better be Aspen,” says Renfro. And I want to know what a**hole’s gonna direct.”
“We gotta get a director,” says Bowfinger.
“Who’s my star?” asks Renfro.
“You just get me a list,” says Bowfinger.
“He’s got to be international,” says Renfro “I need an international star.”
“Who’s my star?” says Bowfinger.
“How about Kit Ramsey?” asks Ed
“Kit Ramsey is the hottest, sexiest action star in the world, When I think of Kit Ramsey in this avalanche movie,” says Renfro, “I get very comfortable.”
“Well, I’m not gonna get into a bidding war with frabisabisab… because you know, even if Kit Ramsey’s interested,” says Bowfinger, loudly, “you know we might not want Kit Ramsey.” He turns to Renfro.
“Can you believe this?” says Bowfinger. “Now they try to tell us who’s gonna be in our movies! Yeah, get me Kit. Get me Kit right now. You don’t put me on hold! I put you on hold! You put me on hold and you’re a dead man!”
