Outside Stage 24, Dave calls Bowfinger. A man stops by and asks “Hey Dave, did you wash my car?”
“Workin’ on it!” replies Dave.
In his office, Bowfinger crosses off Scene 1 from his shot list. The phone rings.
“Yeah?” says Bowfinger, answering the phone.
“Bowfinger, okay here’s what I got,” replies Dave. “Kit and his agent will be at the Rodeo Grille tomorrow at 12:45 p.m. Are we gonna be there?”
“Better believe it,” replies Bowfinger. “You’re a genius.”
The next day, Bowfinger is in the van, parked across the street from the Rodeo Grille. Dave and the camera crew is also inside the van.
“Can you see over there?” Bowfinger asks Dave. “What do you see? Do you see Kit?”
“Yeah,” says Dave. One of the camera crew walks by the outdoor dining area with a shiny sign that says “Will Work for Food.”
On the patio, Kit and his agent are talking.
“Am I trying for you or not trying?” asks the agent.
“You’re trying, but I want at least the same -” begins Kit.
